Is it just me, or have you noticed more people wearing masks lately?
I can’t believe I’m talking about this, but COVID rates are rising and with back-to-school right around the corner, I thought I’d get in front of this.
Barring a colossal local outbreak — something of such magnitude that the governor bans in-person events — Lisa and I have no plans to suspend in-person networking.
According to the CDC, New Hampshire, and all of New England, remain in the low-risk category. We hope a combination of previous exposure and vaccination will keep COVID transmission rates low as we transition to fall and winter.
As a pragmatic person, I recognize everyone has their own level of comfort with COVID, masks, and in-person meetings. If you are more comfortable wearing a mask at an indoor event, nobody will question you.
The same holds true for anyone who does not want to wear a mask. — I never understood why this was such a contentious issue, but I will not tolerate bullying from either camp.
Lisa and I try to make our in-person networking groups informative and fun experiences that provide a break from your workday. This includes creating an environment where people feel safe to make their own choice about wearing a mask.
As always, if you would like to chat, you can reach me at pat@thebizguild.com or schedule a coffee meeting through Calendly.
